Top Ten Freelancing Tips

Freelancing is not easy, it is tough and very competitive. You will find yourself working twice as hard for half the money. I work about 12 hours a day Monday to Sunday, but it is worth it.

Top ten list of do’s and don’ts as a freelancer.

1. Work environment: When you make the decision you need a proper place to work from. If your home is not large and you cannot have your own office, you must have a desk either in your bedroom or lounge that is your work space. Remember this is your job and you need some where to go to every day to do your work.

2. Getting started: There are many more scams online than what is genuine. If somebody asks you to pay for training the work is never genuine. There are wonderful sites for freelancers and most are free or have a small subscription. Try sites such as Odesk and Elancer.

3. Self discipline: You may have temporary bosses when you freelance that give you deadlines. They are not in the office next door putting pressure on you, usually they are in a different continent to you. You have to discipline yourself. Get up the same time every day. Have a set time to go to your desk and to start working. I often get carried away with doing housework when I have a difficult task. Keep yourself from finding chores to do around the house when you are battling with your freelance work.

4. Setting boundaries: When you work from home people start to think that you have plenty of time on your hands. Freelancing takes up more time than what a contemporary office job does. You are only one person. Make sure that your family and friends understand that you are working and that you are not available to go out at their every whim. Set up your boundaries stating that you do not want to be disturbed when you are at your desk.

5. Do not over extend yourself: I had built up a reputation as a freelancer the work started to pour in. I kept accepting every job and the result was that I could not meet my deadlines. Keep a schedule when you receive work calculate how long it is going to take you and how much you need to do daily to meet the deadline. If your schedule is full do not accept anything additional.

6. Be prepared to start small: Even if you have a few degrees and all the experience in the world freelancing is a competitive market. Potential employers look for freelancing experience. When you start off you have to be prepared to take jobs that pay minimum wage and work your way up. I was paid $5 for my first free lancing assignment and the work took me an entire week. I gained experience and a very good review.

7. Choose the right work: At first you are taking any job so that you can get the experience. Once you are getting the work in and have a reputation as a good freelance worker you need to start being picky. You are doing this work to make a living. Be clear on what is being paid for the assignment and calculate the amount of time that will go into the job against what the renumeration is. At times I have not done this properly and found myself bound to tedious work for very little renumeration.

8. Keep in contact with other freelancers: Having a community of friends that freelance helps with getting encouragement and advice. I am fortunate to have a close friend who has been freelancing for longer than I have and her counsel has been invaluable to me.

9. Keep Learning: A good friend of mine that freelances as well gave me a wonderful tip. She said that if you want to start earning more as a freelancer that you need to put aside 3 hours a day towards training yourself. There are many different fields of online work that pay very well that you can teach yourself the skills. Depending on your personal preference you could train yourself on SEO work, web building, fan page building, data sorting and many more.

10. Communication: When you get an assignment. Make sure that you get all the specifics out of the “boss”. I have had many assignments where I completed work and they suddenly wanted something completely different. If you have asked all the questions initially you can point out that you have done exactly what was required and then charge for additional work. Make sure that you discuss all aspects and that you keep the person that you are working for informed about what is happening in your life. I had a traumatic experience and I did not finish an assignment as a result. When I communicated this to the person that I was doing the work for, the person was very understanding and gave me a good reference.

Whether you are writing for marketing your business or for pleasure, you can learn to write by observing some basic rules. Writing article for online readers is different from writing report. If you want your online readers to keep coming back to read your article, you need to give valuable information they seek.

Before writing an article, some first timers have a few psychological barriers to overcome, such as no idea what to write, fear of rejection and worry about making mistake. Don’t think too much about the fear or worry, otherwise you’ll not start writing.

To write good online articles, here are some basic rules:

1. Know Your Audience. Be focus and write articles that are related to the theme of the product which you are promoting. Your aim is to write articles to attract targeted audience to read. The theme of your article should be related to what you are promoting. You can’t be writing about healthy diet when your product is on internet marketing business.

2. Research on Article Topic The information has to be relevant and of interest to your targeted audience. Do your research and extract information that is relevant to your topic.

3. Proof Read Your Article Before submission, proof read your article. Check for grammar and typing errors. If need to, get someone to proof read your article. It would be a waste of time to edit and resubmit rejected articles numerous times.

4. Use Active Words to Structure Your Sentence. It is more effective to use specific active words to structure your sentences and put your idea across. For example, “Eugene loves to paint” is stronger than “Painting is something which Eugene loves.”

5. Format Your Article. Use bullet points, list and sub-headings to attract readers to read your articles. Online readers are mostly ‘scanners’. If your article is too lengthy and long-winded, readers will lose interest and turn their attention somewhere else. That’s the psychology of most online audience. Keep your paragraph short and avoid large chunky information.

6. Use Simple and Easy to Understand Words. You are writing to online audience. It’s important that you write with clarity. Write concisely and focus on the main points. Your sentences should not be longer than 20 words.

Article marketing is a powerful marketing tool. It is one of the best ways to drive free traffic to your website. To attract more readers, target your audience by giving information that is of interest to them. It is important that you keep writing consistently and regularly to advertise product while sharpening your writing skill.

Maintain Your Adsense Account Properly
You probably have come across numerous threads and outcry of people losing their adsense accounts in droves. Well, this is real and thousands of people have lost their income and efforts, you don’t want to fall victim or think you are immune. One little mistake can also get you the long arms of Adsense.

Google make their millions of dollars annually mostly from Adword advertisers that is the people that place ads you see on your ad sensesite.

Here are some little tips to help safeguard your adsense account:
1. Read the TOS of adsense from time to time. Don’t be fooled you know it all, there are certain things you can forget and there can be a new update that calls for your attention.

2. Click coercion – Do not try to fool the system by tactically asking your visitors to click your ads such as adding a little message/ads e.t.c asking your visitors to support your site by visiting your advertiser and so on.

3. Click fraud – never click your ads or ask someone to.

4. Buying traffic – Not all traffic source are good for ad sense, mind the type of traffic you buy or you stand a good chance of losing your account quick.
5. Tools or Software – A lot of us enjoy using tools in our link building to easy our work. While this is a good practice if used correctly but it also poses some danger like using Scrapebox to scrape without proxy. This triggers your system and alert Google that something fishy is happening. If you scrape without proxy you will get message like “Our system detected an unusual traffic coming from your site, something like that and this will send red flag to the big G which will supposedly take quick action to ban your account for invalid click e.t.c

6. Adsense block – you are only allowed 3 ad sense block per page, anything more than this can lead to ban.

7. Multiple ad sense account – Having more than one account per person is unacceptable. Do not make the mistake of allowing anyone open a new ad sense account on your system/IP.

8. Incentivized traffic – Avoid sending Pay per click, traffic exchange traffics and the likes to your ad sense site.

9. There are different types of content violation that can get you banned such as:
MFA with little or no content should be avoided.
Don’t use content you don’t have full right to, even if you must use PLR ensure you spin it properly.

10.Content with porn, drugs, gambling, weapon, alcohol, tobacco, hatred e.t.c are not allowed.

The 28-year-old billionaire’s wedding took place a day after Facebook’s historic initial public offering on the Nasdaq stock exchange on Friday.

More than 200,000 people “liked” Zuckerberg’s status change, which was accompanied by a photo of the smiling couple in wedding attire in a small, verdant outdoor setting with a string of lights behind them.

In the photo, the famously casual Zuckerberg is wearing a dark blue suit and tie, while Chan has on a sleeveless white dress with lace overlay. Both are smiling for the camera.

Zuckerberg, whose shares are worth nearly $20 billion and who retains voting control of Facebook, marked the debut of his company’s stock at Facebook’s Silicon Valley campus on Friday, symbolically ringing the opening bell for stock trading.

The IPO did not go as well as the social networking company had hoped, with shares closing just above the offering price of $38 a share after trading glitches and a last-minute, 25 percent increase in the number of shares being sold.

Zuckerberg co-founded Facebook in a Harvard University dormitory eight years ago. Chan just graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. The couple met while at Harvard.

How To Targeted Higher Paying Adsense Keywords

Different key terms pay different volumes. Other elements being equal a website centered around relief will produce more income per Google adsense press than a website centered around baseball cards. This is why an industry built around promoting greater shelling out key expression details to Google adsense marketers has become so successful.

But it’s more complicated than this as different key terms in different niches also pay different volumes. If your website is not focusing on the “right” (as in profitable) key terms you will probably be earning less cash per Google adsense press than you should be.

For example – if you improve your regular CPC (cost per click) from $0.20 to $0.30 you will improve your income by 33%. There are two ways of doing this on your already current website and the best device for doing the research is Key expression Nation.

**Better targeted your current webpages:

Which thoughts are you using in your Headline Tag, Meta Tag thoughts, H1 – H3 Headlines Tag thoughts and inside the body of your content? Google articles corresponding technology produces ads relevant to the significance of the thoughts on your web page. If the greater shelling out key terms for that web page subject aren’t in those 4 locations I just outlined the quality (relevancy) and CPC of your ads will be lower than if they were. Google wants to match their merchant ads to the websites which are going to offer the greatest return otherwise their whole system breaks.

This means that you want to create sure the greater shelling out key terms are included in your hot spots. If I use Understanding Adsense.com as an example I signed into Key expression Nation with the objective of finding the best shelling out key terms for the Google adsense market. I searched in Google adsense and was presented with a list. “Making Money With Adsense” has the best regular CPC of $0.73 so when I’ve finished developing the site I will boost the webpage and several other websites for that key expression so as to produce the most relevant and greater shelling out ads possible. I will do this by such as that key expression (and relevant ones like “make cash with Adsense”) into the four places outlined above.

**Add extra articles to your website which objectives relevant greater shelling out keywords:

The most important word here is relevant. Don’t add articles websites about The blue pill to your website which is designed around bikes just because the normal CPC for The blue pill is very greater. Instead do one of these two things:

1. Kind your primary key expression, in this example, “motorcycle” into Key expression Nation, wait for the outcomes to appear and then press on CPC. This will organize all the relevant key terms by their CPC value bringing the most successful to the top. I did this and found that -

“Motorcycle Insurance In Michigan” has a typical CPC of $10.25
“Motorcycle Insurance” has a typical CPC of $4.28
“Motorcycle Loan” has a typical CPC of $3.34

These are very greater regular CPCs for which you could develop new articles. These articles websites would produce greater cpc Google adsense account ads from your visitors.

2. Your second option is to form in key terms which are relevant to your major subject. Continuing with the motorbike theme you could form in Harley-Davidson a well-known company of bikes. The outcomes show that “Harley Davidson Boots” has a typical CPC of $0.84. You could develop a web page these days pre-selling Hd Davidson Boots and produce a awesome Google adsense river from that web page. Another expansion would be the key expression “chopper”, a well-known form of motorbike improved by the big shows of the last few years. On Key expression Nation a search for helicopter brings up relevant key terms like Western Shore Teeth, a famous helicopter designer which has a typical CPC of $0.95 – again a web page or several websites around this subject would be a awesome addition to a motorbike centered website.

Whatever your subject, virtually every website can include things like new greater shelling out articles. So before you try and create a website in a new market check that the website(s) that you’ve already put the foundation into (link developing and seo) can not be better improved for greater shelling out key terms and / or have extra greater adsense shelling out articles added to it. There will be at least five new websites of articles that you could add to your current website these days that would create greater shelling out regular important than what you are already generating.

The large majority of Google adsense account Publishers are still not enjoying these tools and are still working in the dark so to speak – unsystematically adding articles, applying their websites and developing new market websites with no fore-knowledge of the value of a particular subject nor its potential earnings. I guarantee that if you analyze Key expression Nation for just a day you will not want to remove yourself from list – it makes our job of creating cash with Google adsense that much easier.

They also have a free “sneak peak” device whereby you enter your targeted key terms and it will give you the most greater shelling out key terms relevant to that expression. If you follow this hyperlink and press on the “try now” button in the top right you can analyze the three different parts of the application yourself.

———————————-

Samsung Focus 2 VS Nokia Lumia 900

Both phones are running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. The Lumia 900 costs $$99.99 with 2-year agreement, while the Focus 2 will be significantly cheaper at $49.99 on contract. These handsets offer many similarities, both supports LTE data connectivity and have the same 1.4GHz Snapdragon single core processor and Adreno 205 GPU. Other similar features are HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps,Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0, accelerometer, proximity, compass and A-GPS.

At $49.99, the Samsung Focus 2 is $50 cheaper than the Lumia 900, so what are the differences? The Samsung Focus 2 has a slightly smaller 4” display, while the Lumia 900 uses 4.3”, both with WVGA resolution. As a consequence, Focus 2’s interface is slightly smoother. Samsung Focus 2 uses more improved Super-AMOLED, however Lumia 900’s AMOLED display has Nokia ClearBack technology for extra brightness. Another huge advantage of Lumia 900 is the 8Mp rear-facing camera, with dual-LED flash and Carl Zeiss Optics. The Samsung Focus 2 uses 5Mp rear-facing camera, which may be similar to 5Mp units used on many mid-range handsets. To sum up, you should choose Samsung Focus 2 if you have no interest in photography, prefer a lighter handset and want to save some money.
