Samsung Focus 2 VS Nokia Lumia 900
Both phones are running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. The Lumia 900 costs $$99.99 with 2-year agreement, while the Focus 2 will be significantly cheaper at $49.99 on contract. These handsets offer many similarities, both supports LTE data connectivity and have the same 1.4GHz Snapdragon single core processor and Adreno 205 GPU. Other similar features are HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps,Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0, accelerometer, proximity, compass and A-GPS.
At $49.99, the Samsung Focus 2 is $50 cheaper than the Lumia 900, so what are the differences? The Samsung Focus 2 has a slightly smaller 4” display, while the Lumia 900 uses 4.3”, both with WVGA resolution. As a consequence, Focus 2’s interface is slightly smoother. Samsung Focus 2 uses more improved Super-AMOLED, however Lumia 900’s AMOLED display has Nokia ClearBack technology for extra brightness. Another huge advantage of Lumia 900 is the 8Mp rear-facing camera, with dual-LED flash and Carl Zeiss Optics. The Samsung Focus 2 uses 5Mp rear-facing camera, which may be similar to 5Mp units used on many mid-range handsets. To sum up, you should choose Samsung Focus 2 if you have no interest in photography, prefer a lighter handset and want to save some money.
